The Fairmount Village Board met in open session this 16th day of August, 2017 in the council chambers of the village hall. Public comments:
Tom Baird was present to give the board a recommendation for new Pressure Control board for the water plant.
Jacqueline Lacy, Vermilion County States Attorney, was present to answer questions the board had sent to her prior to the meeting. She also gave a copy of the Illinois law regarding parking on sidewalks to Gary Wright.
Aaron Golden, Risk Manager from our insurance company, was present to answer questions the board had sent him prior to the meeting regarding liability and coverage.

Police: Report on file, 5 cars were tagged all but one was updated.
Water: Karen gave board a letter (on file) stating 3 customers were shut off, and there had been 3 water leaks.
Board Comments: Susie said she has been told that outsiders have been using the dump to take their brush to. Dave asked who and then said he would send them a letter asking them not to do that.
Greg reported that he went to a Land bank meeting and found out some information on what the village might do about the derelict buildings in town.
