Public comments: Jessie Hansen requested for more police patrol on North State Rd. He stated that due to the road being worked on and the cars and semi-trucks are being detoured to his road they are speeding. Dave Ferber told him that is out of our jurisdiction but is in the Township. County police will be able to enforce the speed limit on that road. Jeremy Barker also expressed concern regarding the speeding on his road which is in village limits and asked that more speeding signs be posted. Gary Dixon shared his concern about the sidewalks that need fixed around his neighborhood. His handicapped wife walks a lot and the sidewalks need fixed. He also expressed support for the Police Dept to get a new car. Junior Bennett reported that his neighborhood is getting better as far as cleaning up but he was very upset that grass clippings were being blown on the street, especially on Main St. by the village workers. A grass clipping ordinance is wanted. Bennett also asked about the animal control officer, as he has a neighbor’s cat always in his yard. Dave said the animal control officer is getting with him to order traps etc. in the near future.

Board Comments: Dave reported the street signs have been ordered it may take 4-8 weeks. Lisa looked at three locations for cross walk, she will get back with us on the logistics of what it will cost as well as with making sidewalks ADA compliant with a time line as funds become available. Ed mentioned that there are three ornamental trees that are dead that need to be removed that the village can remove themselves. Dave is contacting animal control Brandon Edrington to order traps and supplies. Kathy wanted to know about putting no parking sign on some side streets, but an ordinance would have to be made.
