The Fairmount Village Board met in open session this day of April 15, 2015 in the council chambers of the village hall. President David Ferber called the meeting to order at 7:00p.m. Public present were Gary Wright, Rinda Maddox, Karen Ferber, Dianna Cramer and Bonnie Gilbert. Meeting ended at 8:22pm

Public comment: Beverly Glenn had expressed her concern to Suzanne about the 5 wheelbarrow load of grass, leaves and sand that was in front of her property on Main St. Beverly said she wanted the mowing on the street to stop. Dave said he would tell Colby not to do that. Discussion that no one should mow out on street. Karen Ferber said that there is an issue with people walking horses in the park. Gary will check into that. Karen also stated that Nick Burke has been seen recklessly driving a golf cart. Gary will be watching for that as well.

Approve sidewalk replacement program for 2015-2016: Dave suggested that everyone go out and look at sidewalks and to come back to next meeting with addresses and the number of squares that need repair. Board Comments: Dave let the board know that he, Diana, Greg and Suzanne attended the Vermilion County transportation committee meeting and that the board passed approval of taking ownership of the Sidell road, it will go to the County Board on Tuesday April 21st, at 6:00 2nd floor, for those who wanted to attend.
Greg asked if Dean Woodard was going to do the sidewalks this year, Dave asked that Greg gets a quote from him.
Diana asked about Mosquito abatement program Suzanne will check to see if there is a class somewhere. Suzanne will post a vacancy of trustee seat around town, and ask for a response from anyone interested by May 13th, and the board will vote on filling it on May 20th when the newly elected trustees are sworn in.
